The outside noise woke me up grunting this morning. My body twitched as it still wanted to lay down, but I realized that I had something to do – something that will feed my techie apetite. I’m going to buy a MacBook Pro today!
The MacBook Pro unibody is my dream device. Every time I pass by authorized Apple resellers and distros, I always try the demo unit showcased with the iMac and Mac Pro.
No, I wasn’t envy or jealous of other people who own a Mac. I fell in love with it because of its outstanding industrial design, simplicity, security, and rarity. Also, aside from the hardware feel, I considered its ability to boot Windows with BootCamp. Yes, still I can’t let go Windows because of the nature of my work, centered in Engineering. As for the OS X Snow Leopard, no one can’t deny how hot it looks.

Simply put: Gorgeous

I want to thank Sir Charlie of Digital Hub/Walker/Life for giving me a discount, as any PhilMug member can enjoy. From PhP 64,000, the price went down to nearly PhP 55,000. To add, the sales ladies inĀ Pods by Digital Walker in Trinoma were friendly and courteous from the time I inquired, purchased, and checked out the MacBook.

At first, I didn't know how to work around. Ha ha!
My MacBook Pro is the April 2010 entry level model. In a gist, it features 13-inch LED display, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 250 GB HDD, 4 GB RAM, NVIDIA graphics, 8x Superdrive, 10 hours of battery life, BootCamp, and OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
As any techie person can say, a PC exceeding those specifications by two folds can be budgeted with PhP 55,000. However, as Winston said, a PC is a necessity but an Apple is a luxury.

MacBook Pro says goodbye to HP Laptop
My HP-Compaq laptop, I’m ditching you off now. I have done, worked, and seen a lot of things with you. We’ve been together for three years, and it’s time for me to move on. Goodbye.
Hello Macbook Pro!

I just got my new MBP today, yeay!

Hi Tita Fate! How’s Alex?
I think this is my final luho from Dad. He paid most of it. The rest came from the fruits of my internship.
