A moment ago, I watched Mandy Moore’s Umbrella cover. I quickly noticed how stout she looked. At first, I thought the video screen was just compressed vertically, but when I saw Rihanna’s body in the background, I concluded that Mandy is not the “slim” Mandy anymore.
A 2007 article from Cinemablend.com said that she was to star in a new movie with Robin Williams. However, the bosses said that she had to slim down first.
What did she say/feel?
She felt humiliated! For goodness sake! She didn’t have to be humiliated if the bosses were saying the truth. Besides, Mandy is a Hollywood star — she has to make efforts to maintain a nice body.
Here’s the excerpt from that article.
“I felt mortified. I am who I am, and if I accept it everybody else should too. When I started out in the industry I was 14 and a beanpole, but over the last few years I’ve grown. For the most part I feel pretty OK with how I look. I know I’m different from the typical Hollywood ideal of what is beautiful. But quite frankly I don’t think that’s attainable and I’m happy to represent something different. This is just exactly who I am,” she said.
After reading the article, my searching syndrome turned on, and I saw lots of new pictures of her. Here are her latest ones.
Actually, Mandy was my crush. She looked so pretty when she starred in “A Walk to Remember.”
Mandy was one of the women of my dreams. I hope she would start going on a diet. Maybe one day, she would look like her old self.
