Experience Bolinao, Pangasinan

Last May 30 and 31, 2009, my barkada and I had the chance to stay in a private resort in Bolinao.

And say what, say what? It’s a very beautiful place! White sand, clear water – It has very high potential to be marked as international tourist spot.

I was with my high school friends and my new friends. Haha! Okay, so we were thirteen: Omar, Amiel, Joe, Stalin, Ralph, Denver, Irvin, Harry, Jaime, Ice, Val, Janine, and I.

I assume all our pictures were distributed to whose camera was shuttering in a particular time.

On the road: Amiel’s
The whole day of swimming – mine
Evening – Ralph’s
The next morning – Ralph’s and Irvin’s

I’m a bit lazy to blog so let the pictures tell the story. :)

Visit Singapore 2009

I’ve always wanted to go to Singapore. In fact, I once had a dream of working there because of its R&D, not to mention the big compensation I could receive.

I should cut the story short, sorry. I have a lot to tell, but I have tons of things to do now. But here’s a summary of what me and my family “experienced” in the Lion City.

Day 1
We went to the Concert Hall, Esplanade, Suntec (where the biggest fountain in the world can be found), and the Merlion Park. There was no difficulty in getting to those places since Singapore has the BEST transporation system and infrastructures. The LRTs, MRTs, and buses are monopolized by one transit firm. We used only ONE magnetic card to pay our travel in those modes of transportation. (more…)

Sniper, You are My New Baby!

“Igiling-giling, igiling-giling, igiling-giling hanggang matunaw ang taba.” This was the bothersome ringback tone of Amiel when I was calling him to wake him up. I arrived at Taft at exactly eight in the morning, following our accord.

After an hour, we went to an infamous place where many people sustain their livelihood through fortune telling, totem selling, and DVD mass selling. This was the place where I bought something really nice, something really beautiful, and something that would be added to my gadget collection – a Nikon DSLR.

But you know what? This shouldn’t have happened – buying a camera for a professional that is obviously not me. (more…)

Windows 7: A New Interface Paradigm

I first learned about Windows 7 from Kuya Rex during The Pautakan 2008. I immediately thought, “What??? Another OS? Parang 2 years pa lang ang Vista ah. Tapos extended pa ang XP.”

Really, Vista sucks for me with all its bugs and incompatibilities with peripherals, but I consider it as Microsoft’s stepping stone to a more elegant and more user-friendly platform. So, is Windows 7 the dream OS of Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer? Is this the ideal Windows Blackcomb/Vienna/Longhorn they’ve been designing?

I can say yes.

My Last Teen Year

There wasn’t any big preparation for this day unlike last year that I even changed my site banner, my profile description in bigsight.org, my profile in here in Multiply. What I just did was to muster energy to be more responsible as a person, as an elder son, as a friend, as an older brother, and as an inspiration.

All my friends whom I greet on their birthday – I always tell them that they should be a “gift” to others; they should be a blessing to many people; they should pray for other people for such is the best prayer that God hears. Now, I, myself, should do those things. Otherwise, I’d only be a super dumb hypocrite.
Before this day ends, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who greeted me today, my special day.

Thank you to:
