Through the Looking 3D Glasses

It was just hours ago when I watched Disney’s Alice in Wonderland in IMAX 3D in SM North EDSA. For preparation, I read some text in wiki on what exactly the latest Tim Burton film is all about.

For the past couple of months, I’ve always chosen IMAX 3D than Dolby’s. The previous’ developers are genius. For them to produce sharp 3D motions on the big screen is really a milestone.

I don’t want to spoil much of the plot, but here’s what happened during the next two hours of being inside the theater.

9:30 PM – “This is 3D again, I hope it’s as good as Avatar.”

9:35 PM – “Oh, their wardrobes give me ideas on what I’ll be wearing on Nyny’s debut. I can’t wait.”

9:40 PM – “Latecomers are blocking my 400-peso worth of viewing. The guard should close the entrance.”

9:51 PM – “Alice has reached Wonderland for the second time! But she looks so dull, doesn’t she?”

10:09 PM – “I need a spectacular scene. Hmm, maybe it’s in the later part. Woo, it’s Mad Hatter. Johnny Depp, ikaw na and versatile!

11:04 PM – “The lame Alice cut the Jabberwock’s head. Still no ring.”

11:15 PM – “That’s it? I want more of the White Queen and the insanity of the Queen of Hearts!”

11:30 PM – “Here’s your 3D glasses sir, I’ll be here again for a better movie, hopefully.”

Personally I didn’t like it in IMAX 3D. I suggest you spend your cash in 2D instead, and spare the change for yummy food.

I like the Avatar 3D film, particularly the story line, not only it brings a totally new sensation however inspiring ideas of humanity. I heard the New Avatar 2 is comming soon, can’t wait to see it again…!

Yeah, Avatar is the worthiest film to watch on 3D. Alice had only a run time of 90 minutes, and that made me feel I didn’t break even.
